Janice Forsyth

On behalf of the the organising committee I very much look forward to welcoming Janice Forsyth as our 2022 Chieftain.  We are so lucky to have someone as reknowned as Janice and who is also such a good friend to our island.

One of the country’s busiest broadcasters, Sony Award-winner, Janice, has presented and produced many TV and radio programmes for BBC, ITV and Channel 4 and currently hosts BBC Radio Scotland’s Afternoon Show.
Janice is also the co-founder of Scotland’s podcast network, The Big Light, which, since its launch in early 2020, has notched up over 1 million downloads in 100 countries for its series covering everything from Scottish crime fiction and true crime, to history, the natural world, business, whisky, and star interviews with global icons including Billy Connolly and Anne Lennox.
As Janice has a lifelong love of Bute, which began with annual trips doon the watter from Glasgow with her family when she was a child, she is delighted to be Chair of the Rothesay Pavilion, and thrilled to be Chieftain of the 2022 Bute Highland Games in this, its very special 75th Anniversary year.
