PRIZES

In addition to the trophy/cups being competed for the following prizes will be awarded …

1st Prize  –  £15
2nd Prize  –  £10
3rd Prize  –  £5

Please note:

 

  • Competitors must be of secondary school age during the 2023/2024 academic year
  • Once an event has started competitors arriving late will only be permitted throws in rounds not yet completed within their assigned event
  • Junior heavy events are due to commence at approximately 11.00.am, all competitors should report to the Secretary’s Tent no later than 10.30.am on the day
  • Events may not run on the day in the sequence shown

  • All the above events will be held on grass at The Public Stadium in Rothesay

FEES

 £1.00 per event  –  Applicable to competitors who are not pupils of Rothesay Academy

(Entries will not be processed unless fees have been paid)

Prizes

Awarded to the best overall competitor from the Isle of Bute (boy or girl).  In 2009 The Marquess of Bute commissioned local girl,

Linda Robertson MA., a silversmith and teacher in London, to design and create a suitable trophy for Bute Highland Games. This unique trophy is presented on an annual basis.
