The bands’ names; names of their pipe majors and respective tartans; together with the selection of music to be performed, are published by grade and start time in our annual Games’ programme available for purchase on the day. Each grade features a selection of trophies and cash prizes for the winners and the placed bands.

The RSPBA selects the judges for the competitions consisting of a minimum of a piping judge, a drumming judge, an ensemble judge and a drum major judge. One of the criteria to be a judge is the need to have been a member of a Grade 1 winning band.
